The National Guild for Community Arts Education announced it was entering its Portal of transformation in June 2022. To better serve the community arts education ecosystem, the nonprofit made an intentional decision to pause its long-established programs and deeply reflect on its almost 90-year history — prioritizing human-centeredness, co-creativity, and liberatory practices in the process.
While managing content design, curation, and experience at the Guild as a Communications Coordinator (2021-2022) and Manager (2022-2023), I designed the visual identity for content released throughout the Portal. Such content included organizational updates shared via email (known as “Transmissions from the Portal”), as well as promotion for virtual and in-person events.

Justice in Motion is a U.S-based nonprofit organization that advocates for cross-border justice for migrants. As their Communications Intern (2018-2019) and Assistant (2019-2020), I was responsible for much of the organization’s virtual presence and printed materials. This includes publications, web pages, and social media assets that have been designed from 2018 to 2020. Since 2021, I’ve continued to take on freelance graphic design projects for the nonprofit as well.
Illustrations found on Justice in Motion’s social media and on various web pages are by Amanda Flores.

Un Dos Trés is a virtual campaign inviting viewers to a global dance party amidst pandemic stay-at-home orders. It intends to showcase some of the most idolized and respected female performers in Latin American music — Gloria Estefan, Selena Quintanilla, and Celia Cruz, specifically. Work primarily focused on designing for web, social, and merchandise, as well as copywriting.
